Terms of use
Draft, under legal review
Last updated 28 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Kiln at kiln.hellm.ai. Kiln is run by Hellmai Ltd (company number 16412231, registered in England and Wales), called Hellmai in this text.
By signing in to Kiln you agree to these terms and to the acceptable use page.
Who can use Kiln
Kiln is by invitation. You must be 18 or over. An account is for one person: do not let anyone else use yours, and keep the passcode you were given private.
Kiln is being tested
Kiln is in a testing period. It can change, be unavailable or lose data without notice, and a build can fail. Hellmai gives no warranty and makes no commitment on availability.
Keep your own copy of anything you need. You can download an app’s code, push it to GitHub, or export the full bundle (code, history, database, users and settings).
Your content
You keep your rights in what you give Kiln (prompts, uploaded photos and links, brand settings) and in the apps you build. You give Hellmai permission to store it, process it and send it to the providers named on the sub-processors page, only to run Kiln for you.
You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload or ask Kiln to build from.
Apps you build
You are responsible for the apps you build and publish, and for what their users do in them. Built apps are served from addresses under kilnmade.app.
Preview addresses are not secret. Anyone who has the address of a preview can open it.
If your app collects personal data about its users, you decide why and how, and you are responsible to those people. Hellmai hosts that data for you. Processor terms for this are not in place yet, and Kiln does not yet give your app a privacy notice for its users.
AI output
Kiln uses AI models to plan and write apps. The result can be wrong, insecure or similar to existing work. Kiln runs checks on every build, and those checks reduce the risk but do not remove it. Read the plan and the checks, and review an app before you publish it. Publishing needs an approval.
Limits
Kiln limits how much can be spent on a build, by a person in a day, on an app and in total. Hellmai can change the limits, and a build that would pass a limit is refused.
Payments
Payments are switched off for testers. If they are switched on later, separate terms will apply to them.
Acceptable use
The acceptable use page forbids, among other things, impersonation, phishing, scams, malware and illegal content. It is part of these terms.
Suspension and removal
Hellmai can refuse or stop a build, disable or remove an app, or suspend an account, when it believes these terms or the acceptable use page have been broken, or to protect people or Kiln. Hellmai tells you when it can.
Ending your use
You can stop using Kiln at any time and ask for your data to be deleted, as described on the privacy page. Hellmai can end your access.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Otherwise, during the testing period Kiln is provided as it is, and Hellmai is not liable for lost data, lost apps, lost profit or indirect loss.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide disputes about them. Hellmai can change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed.
